  1. Jonathan Zittrain: The Web as random acts of kindness

In this TED video, Zittrain shows that despite the perception of the internet as a cold unfriendly place, the exact opposite can be true.

This is a very informative talk about the internet from a voluntaryist perspective. The social dynamic of the internet is a framework that we can use in the world offline. There are untold instances of people helping online in numerous ways, motivated by their own internal passion instead of money. The internet is anarchy, a realm with no rulers where you can choose the information, tools, resources and people to enhance your reality. I’m proud to say that I’m on the board of advisers for the Individual Sovereign University, who is the parent entity behind this project. Please support our efforts to transform neglected neighborhoods into a self-sustaining environment for education, [...]

99% (The Occupy Wall Street Collaborative Film)

From: Kickstarter Whether you agree with the tactics of the Occupy Wall Street movement or not, this is an important historical effort to fund. I personally watched some of the eviction action at Zucotti park in New York, live on Ustream. This collaborative project is an exciting idea, that will show what occurred at different locations from multiple viewpoints. On Oct 1, 2011 a few award-winning filmmakers in NY teamed up to make a collaborative film about the Occupy Wall Street Movement.  They called and wrote to their filmmaker friends, and they to theirs.  Soon, there were over 60 people [...]
